architecture

The property has been architecturally designed to make the best use of the huge site and incredible location.

The plans are grounded in modernist principles of authentic, timeless design and planning rigour. Central to this philosophy is a strong sense of scale, form and material, and an emphasis on finely detailed spaces built to outlast changing fashions.

The brief to the architect was that the architecture should serve as a bridge to connect nature, culture, and people to this stunning environment. The focus of the property was the views. The designers were asked to create a sense of space that made the guest not just look at nature but feel immersed in it.

We chose mostly prefabrication as a method of building due to its many benefits including digital cut accuracy, less waste, and the ability to be bring completed elements to the site thus creating less impact on the landscape.

The materials chosen are sustainably grown and produced. A no chemical approachhas also been embraced whilst the entire property is driven by solar polar.

Wastewater is organically treated on-site and used to enhance landscaping.

The kitchen garden and orchard are being planted on the property to provide year round fresh produce and herbs.

The communal spaces like the decks, outdoor kitchen, and fireplaces are aimed at bringing people together to share their stories and experiences from this incredible region.

This is a considered thoughtful design that puts the environment first without compromising on the living experience or enviroment.
